The Martinsburg Municipal Authority learned last week that it may soon lose the emergency use of the reservoir. The authority no longer uses the reservoir as a water supply for the borough, but has retained the use of it for fire protection and in case of an emergency, such as the storm that knocked out power in December 1992.
