Nevins, SC Board Reach Agreement Prior to Public Hearing

An agreement reached by the Spring Cove School Board and Central boys’ varsity basketball and assistant baseball coach Reggie Nevins on May 21 forced the cancellation of a public hearing that was scheduled for May 22.

Nevins told the Herald that the two sides agreed not to hold the public hearing, fearing it would upset a lot of people and possibly turn nasty on both sides.

Nevins was unanimously reinstated as varsity assistant baseball coach for the remainder of the season on May 21. Unfortunately, the Scarlet Dragons fell in the opening round of the District 6 Class 3A playoffs.
