PAULINE E. 'DOT' SMITH

Pauline E. "Dot" Smith, 89, of Donnertown, died on Monday morning, May 27, 2019, at home.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, May 30, at the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., http://www.thompsonfh.com, Roaring Spring.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, at the Leamersville Church of the Brethren. Pastor Stephen Durr will officiate.

Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery.

She was born in Donnertown on Nov. 12, 1929, the daughter of the late James Matthew and Emma (Fleck) Sell.

Dot was twice married; first to Richard Lindsey in 1947, and he died in 1968. She then married Trafford Smith in 1978.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters: Joyce Smith and husband Herb of Donnertown, Bonnie Hammel and husband Gary of Donnertown, Jody Harker and husband Dwayne of Hollidaysburg and Tracie Dick and husband Steve of Roaring Spring; a stepdaughter, Margie Biddle and husband Ed of Altoona; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; four great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Ailene Butler of Donnertown, Leona Ott of Donnertown, Shirley Smith and husband Paul of Roaring Spring and Jean Thompson of Donnertown.

Dot was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Lily Kennedy; a brother, James; and a sister, Elsie.

Dot was a lifelong member of Leamersville Church of the Brethren.

She retired as a cafeteria worker for the Hollidaysburg School District after 30 years of service.

She enjoyed bird watching, quilting, fishing, her "Old Lady" lunches, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
