Memorial Day Success

Memorial Day, this year, was a bright and beautiful day, and many of our people laid aside their daily work and came out to do reverence to the sleeping brave. Also many from out of town were present to take part in the services of the day. The program as arranged for the occasion was carried out, the orator of the day being Dr. A. R. Day, of Alexandria, who gave an interesting address. At the conclusion of the ceremonies, the graves of the soldiers who sleep in our cemeteries were visited and on each one a flowery token of remembrance placed.
