The combination of wind and heavy rain Monday evening caused some damage, but few complaints were heard as the storm brought relief from the usually dry conditions that have prevailed throughout the spring. The flight service station at the Blair County Airport reported rainfall of 1.67 inches. Most of that fell during the one-hour period from 5:30 to 6:30 o’clock, although there was light rain for several hours longer.
