Commissioned Officer

2nd Lt. Tyson Jay Miller (center) was commissioned as an active duty officer in the Infantry branch on May 11, 2019. He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in safety management and a minor in leadership from Slippery Rock University.

Tyson attended CULP in Liberia during June 2016, Airborne School in July 2017 and CTLT in August 2018, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Tyson was the Ranger Challenge Captain through the 2017-18 school year. Tyson was also a Distinguished Military Graduate and graduated in the top 10 percent of the nation.
