Duncanville Man Drowns Fleeing Police

A Duncansville man drowned in the Frankstown Branch of the Juniata River after he jumped into the swift currents while attempting to elude police.

The body of Jeremy Ross, 37, was pulled from the river about five hours after police said he leapt into the water and disappeared in the currents.

The ordeal began on Wednesday morning, May 29, when Blair Township police were called to a home along River Road, Duncansville, for a report of a domestic dispute.

When police arrived, they found Ross, and Rachel M. Abbatangelo, 37, with injuries consistent with physical assault.
