Linda Claycomb and Bob Detwiler show one of the awards won by the Southern Cove Historical Group. Claycomb is treasurer and Detwiler is chairman of the group.
The Southern Cove Historical Group met on May 18 at the South Woodbury Township building in New Enterprise.
Bob Detwiler is the chairman of the group, and Linda Claycomb is the group's secretary.
This group has started meeting monthly and is currently looking for a permanent time and place to meet. Approximately 12 members were in attendance at the May meeting.
The group did a tour last year of the southern Morrisons Cove area and it was well received. The group won awards from the Bedford County Historical Society and other governmental figures.
