DOROTHY A. 'DOTTIE' BABIAK

Dorothy A. "Dottie" Babiak, 92, of Duncanville, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away on Friday evening, June 7, 2019, at Maybrook Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center, Altoona.

A funeral was held on Tuesday, June 11, at the John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., http://www.bolgerfuneralhome.com, Martinsburg

Interment was held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Dorothy was born on May 25, 1927, in Martinsburg, daughter of the late George and Beatrice (Tipton) Young.

Dorothy was formerly married to the late Walter P. Babiak.

Surviving are a son, Earl F. Ayle of Chandler, Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Babiak-Panek of Altoona; three granddaughters: Julie Babiak (Abraham Gingrich) of Belleville and Jeanette and Jasmine Babiak of Altoona; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Walter Donald Babiak; and a brother, Donald E. "Tip" Walter.

Dorothy was a graduate of Morrison Cove High School, Martinsburg, where she performed as a majorette.

She retired from Veeder-Root, Duncanville, with more than 25 years of service.

She was a generous and loving person, who enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping and browsing for antiques.

Memorial contributions in memory of Dottie can be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
