Many attendees including local farmers voiced their concerns and questions on Thursday, June 6, during the Woodbury Township (Blair County) supervisors’ meeting, Williamsburg.
The nuisance ordinance dealt with junk cars, noise, accumulating trash and rubbish. Following residents’ concerns, supervisors decided to table the ordinance until the July meeting.
Chairman Joe Lansberry was asked about police coverage in the township following the rape and police action at Cove Forge. Lansberry said he would talk again with Williamsburg Borough Police Chief Rowdy Kagarise to get more information.
Lansberry made the motion to accept the final plans submitted by Royer Mansion in regards to the parking lot installation contingent upon being notarized, Craig Hamilton seconded the motion; motion passed. Vice Chairman Ed Clark was absent from the meeting.
Woodbury is also looking for a new full-time employee. Resumes may be sent to the township building or dropped off.
