The bids for an expansion project at the Nason Hospital came in $175,000 higher than anticipated, but the hospital trustees agreed to proceed with the project. A Martinsburg contractor was the low bidder for general construction. The architects, Campbell, Rea, Hayes and Large of Altoona, will adjust the specification to take any possible savings that can be made by eliminating equipment that is not immediately necessary. This equipment can be installed at some later time as funds are available, according to a spokesman for the hospital.
