The Williamsburg Women's Civic Club held its annual banquet on June 10 at Pamela's Victorian Cafe & Music in Bellwood. Twenty members and three guests were welcomed to the annual Williamsburg Women's Civic Club's Banquet and Installation of Officers on June 10 at Pamela's Victorian Cafe & Music in Bellwood.

The theme for the evening was "Spreading Light" (in the community). Diane England read a Bible Scripture on light and gave the Invocation before the parmesan-crusted chicken dinner.

Peggy Mingle presented lanterns to six members with perfect attendance for the past club year: Carolyn Clapper, Shirley Kurtz-Flaugh, Diane Hoffner, Sandy Norris, Donna Tate and Anna May Very.

Donna Tate was commended for serving the club well as president for another club year and honored with a monetary contribution to the Williamsburg Public Library in her name. A contribution to the library was also made in honor of Sandra Norris for her 25-year membership.

Peggy Campbell installed the new officers to serve the 2019-20 club year with a candlelight service. The officers installed were Donna Tate, president; Pam Prough, vice president; Michelle Stultz, second vice president; Sandra Kaufman, recording secretary; Anna May Very, corresponding secretary; Shirley Kurtz-Flaugh, treasurer; and Ellen Claar, assistant treasurer.

Pamela Wertman provided the entertainment with piano and vocal music. The selections chosen were about the light to go along with the theme for the evening.

Any woman who is a resident of Williamsburg or vicinity and is interested in doing community volunteer work may join the club by contacting any club member. The club meets at 7 p.m. once a month, September through May, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.
