JEFFREY BRIAN HELSEL

Jeffrey Brian Helsel, 50, of Bakers Summit, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

A funeral was held on Saturday, June 29, at the Holsinger Church of the Brethren, Bakers Summit. Pastor Paul R. Snyder officiated.

Interment was made in Holsinger Cemetery.

Jeffrey was born on Oct. 7, 1968, in Roaring Spring, the son of Donna Jeanne (Miller) Helsel and the late Leroy Kenneth Helsel.

He is survived by his mother; a brother, David Edward Helsel of Bakers Summit; two half-brothers: Robert Clair Helsel of Lewistown and Kenneth Edward Helsel of Breezewood; and an adopted brother, Anthony Wayne Helsel of Columbia.

He is also survived by his aunts and uncles; Doris Ann Miller; Kenneth Roy Miller, married to Arvilla; Donald Bruce Miller, married to Sarah; Lester Jay Helsel; and Julianne Kay (Helsel) Statler.

He was a 1988 graduate of Northern Bedford County High School; a 1990 graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, Lancaster, with an associates degree in automotive technology; and in 2004 he earned a culinary arts degree from the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center.

Jeffrey was a member of the Holsinger Church of the Brethren.

Jeffrey enjoyed music, cooking, and his cats.
