The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage ACT applies to this project only if the bid amount exceeds $100,000.00. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $870.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. For third class cities the bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10 % of the bid, made payable to the municipality. For other municipal types it is the discretion of the municipality. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company located in East Freedom, PA will meet on August 1, 2019 at 6:30pm for the purpose of holding a public hearing pursuant to the requirements of Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, on a proposal that the issuer enter into a Lease-Purchase Agreement in order to finance a 4-Guys International Fire Truck, to be located at 139 Municipal Street.
To finance the costs of such equipment and to pay costs and expenses incidental to the financing, the Issuer proposes to enter into a loan agreement in the maximum aggregate principal amount not to exceed $200,000. The rental payments due pursuant to the loan agreement will be secured by a security interest in the equipment.

The Williamsburg Community School District is requesting proposals for propane gas for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019 and ending June 30, 2020. The district is requesting that bidding be based on a fixed price for propane gas. Proposals will need to include the cost of propane tanks and installation of the tanks.

AMENDMENT TO THE WILLIAMSBURG ZONING ORDINANCE
The Williamsburg Borough Council hereby notifies all interested parties that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Municipal Building, 305 E. 2nd Street, Williamsburg, PA at 7:00 P.M. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a proposed Ordinance, a summary of which is set forth below, that would amend the Williamsburg Zoning Ordinance.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF WILLIAMSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING THE WILLIAMSBURG ZONING ORDINANCE (ADOPTED JANUARY 6, 1975) TO INCLUDE CERTAIN LIGHT INDUSTRIAL USES IN THE TOWN CENTER DISTRICT.
Generally, the Amendment will permit machine and woodworking shops in the Town Center District.
It is anticipated that Borough Council will vote on the Ordinance at the August 5, 2019 meeting or at a continuation of this meeting or a special meeting scheduled sometime thereafter not to exceed thirty days from the date of this advertisement. Copies of the full text of the proposed Ordinance, the current Zoning Ordinance and the Williamsburg Borough “Official Zoning Map” are available for inspection at the Municipal Building, 305 E. 2nd Street, Williamsburg, PA from 9 A.M. until 3 P.M. every week day except Wednesday when the hours are 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. All persons having an interest in these zoning matters are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing and comment on the proposed Ordinance.
