Antique Truck, Machinery Show July 26-27 at East Freedom

Mr. and Mrs. George Wool of Centre Hall, Centre County, displayed this 1962 Mack B68 truck during the Keystone Chapter of the Antique Truck Club of America's truck show in 2018 at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park, Martinsburg. This year's show will be held Friday and Saturday, July 26-27, at East Freedom.

Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27, are shaping up to be a big one for antique truck and tractor enthusiasts in the area.

The Keystone Chapter of the Antique Truck Club of America (ATCA) will stage its annual Antique Truck and Machinery Show at a new location – 139 Municipal St. in East Freedom, across from the Freedom Township Fire Hall on the grounds of Through Inc.

Returning activities include displays of more than 75 antique trucks, tractors, farm machinery, tools and more.

Three area non-profit organizations will assist at this year's show. Through Inc. will sell soft drinks, iced tea and lemonade both days. The Roaring Spring Community Library will sell homemade desserts and brewed iced tea at lunchtime Saturday to raise funds for its programs.

The Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company will serve breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, hoagies (11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday), hot sandwiches at noon time Saturday and a chicken barbecue dinner at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The raffle and door prizes will be drawn during the Saturday evening meal.

A convoy to Peggy's Dinner in Claysburg for dinner and then to the Milky Way in East Freedom is planned for Friday evening.

Exhibitors will set up between noon and 5 p.m. Friday. Registration will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

A "Touch-A-Truck" exhibit will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Attendees can sit behind the wheel, look under the hood, talk to the owner and more.
