W-burg to 'Co-Op' Jr. High Football for 2019

Due to lack of players, the Williamsburg School District has decided to go into a co-op agreement with Juniata Valley for junior high football.

During last Tuesday evening’s meeting, Superintendent Lisa Murgas said that Williamsburg “only had about 10 students, and would be unable to have a team with that number.”

The district opened communication with Juniata Valley, which has roughly the same numbers, and decided on the co-op agreement.

“This gives our students the opportunity to continue to develop their skills to be prepared for our JV and varsity teams,” Murgas said.
