It looks like the largest and best apple crop in the Cove since the Cove Apple Packers Cooperative was established in 1962, according to Robert E. Meredith, an official at the Martinsburg plant. The processing plant will be operating this year under a marketing arrangement with Country Best and Agway Inc., and from all indications the fruit will be of high quality and very abundant.
