Lorraine K. Frye, 65, of Dudley, Huntingdon County, passed away Sunday afternoon, Aug. 4, 2019, at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, Pittsburgh, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 8, at Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, rural Martinsburg, where a funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Pastor Barbara Hammond will officiate.
Interment will be held at Brumbaugh Cemetery, rural Martinsburg.
Lorraine was born Aug. 10, 1953, in Wells Tannery, daughter of Vera (Ritchey) Swope and the late Russell Wayne Swope.
She married Drew K. Frye Sept. 12, 2002, in Roaring Spring.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 16 years; her mother of Orbisonia; three sons: Christopher Snyder of Palm Springs, Calif., Terry (Stephanie) Snyder of Hustontown and Daniel Snyder of Wells Tannery; two granddaughters: Braelyn and Brenna Snyder; a sister, Ann (William) Kniseley of Clearville; three brothers: Larry (Diane) Swope of Everett and Gary (Kathy) Swope and Norman (Wanda) Swope, both of Wells Tannery; a brother-in-law, Mike Seville of Wells Tannery; and her pet soulmate, Kira.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Connie J. Seville.
Lorraine attended Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, rural Martinsburg.
She was employed as an assembler at JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, and had previously worked for Seton Leather Co., Saxton, and at the Family House Restaurant, Breezewood.
She loved spending time with her family and also at the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City, Md. Lorraine also enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casino.
