NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Roaring Spring, in Blair County, Pennsylvania (the “Borough”), proposes to enact, at a public meeting to be held not less than three (3) nor more than thirty (30) days following the date of publication of this notice, an ordinance (the “Ordinance”), the caption and summary of such proposed Ordinance being as follows:

“ORDINANCE NO. 2019-3

AUTHORIZING AND SECURING THE ISSUANCE OF A SERIES OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, IN THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $3,500,000, PURSUANT TO THE PENNSYLVANIA LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT DEBT ACT, TO REFUND ALL OR PORTIONS OF THIS BOROUGH’S OUTSTANDING GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES OF 2014, ASSOCIATED WITH THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM OF THE ROARING SPRING MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY, AND PAYING THE COSTS OF ISSUING THE BONDS; ACCEPTING A BOND PURCHASE AGREEMENT; SETTING FORTH THE PARAMETERS, SUBSTANTIAL FORM OF AND CONDITIONS FOR ISSUING THE BONDS; PLEDGING THE FULL FAITH, CREDIT AND TAXING POWER OF THIS BOROUGH TO SECURE THE BONDS; CREATING A SINKING FUND AND APPOINTING A PAYING AGENT AND SINKING FUND DEPOSITORY; APPROVING A SUBSIDY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THIS BOROUGH AND THE AUTHORITY; AND AUTHORIZING RELATED ACTION.”.

The proposed Ordinance is available for public inspection in the Roaring Spring Municipal Building, located at 616 Spang Street, Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania, on any open business day of the Borough between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.

Amendments may be made to the Ordinance prior to its final enactment. An advertisement describing the final enactment of the Ordinance, including any amendments, will be made in accordance with the Pennsylvania Local Government Unit Debt Act (the “Debt Act”). This Notice is given in accordance with the Debt Act.

NAME CHANGE

Notice is hereby given that on the 21st day of June, 2019, the Petition of last name change was filed in the Blair County Court of Common Pleas. Tammy Kenney/Thomas will be changing her name to Tammy Stiffer. The Court has fixed August 14th, 2019, at 2:30 PM in Courtroom #5 in the Blair County Courthouse, Hollidaysburg, PA as the date for hearing of the Petition. All persons interested in the proposed change of name may appear and show cause, if any they have, why the Petition should not be granted. Reference #2019-GN1752.
