Putting cows on the front page since 1885.
This week of course is the Williamsburg Community Farm Show – the big gathering of those far and wide converging on the Williamsburg fairgrounds for a week of food, fun, family and agriculture.
The fair is home to many things – amusement rides, games, animals, agriculture and more.
This brings me to my question this week – what is your favorite part of the farm show? Here is what a few residents had to say:
Huston Godwin: The antique displays, of course.
Stan Grove: The food
Maureen England: The food and the fireworks
Renee Criswell: The parade
Grace Risbon: Everything, especially the food
Eric Bumgardner: A hot sausage sandwich
Rebecca Miller: Seeing friends and getting to talk!
Holly Hamilton: I like food and winning things.
Susanne Deeters: The games and food
Kenny Grove: Food, tractors and cows
Polly Smith: Seeing old friends
Anna Gibboney: The arts and crafts
Daniel Eastep: Fireworks
Michele Phillips: Food and fireworks
Kara Frye: The pet show
Alicia Monahan: The food and seeing my kids enjoy the rides, games and hanging out with their friends.
I think my favorite part of the farm show is the parade. It’s so nice to see the community coming together for the largest fair in Blair County. I always look forward to going over to the farm show after the fair with my mom and my sister to take part in the food and camaraderie.
