H. DEAN 'MACE' GATES

H. Dean “Mace” Gates, 88, of Roaring Spring, died Monday morning, Aug. 19, 2019, at Homewood at Martinsburg.

A funeral was held Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Bare Memorial Church of God, Roaring Spring. Pastor Rachel Neely-Pletcher officiated.

Interment was made in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.

Mace was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Roaring Spring, the son of the late Harry and Maude (McIntyre) Gates.

He married Connie Hopkins January 1, 1949, in Roaring Spring.
