Thought for the Week

For about three months Paul was able to preach and teach about Jesus as Christ in the synagogue of Ephesus. The NIV Translation says then some of them became obstinate. A mental picture came into my mind. I pictured a young dairy animal being led around the ring in a demonstration of showmanship. Everything was going well until something possessed the animal and it began to shake its head and hold back. It went on to prance sideways and resist anything the leader attempted to do. Scripture says they became obstinate, refused to believe, and publicly maligned "the Way" (Christianity).
