It’s a new ball game, with active Republican leadership in Washington and with Republicans in state and local government providing responsible service to the people. That is the way Robert (Bob) Friend, Allegheny County Controller and for many years mainstay of the Pittsburgh Pirate pitching staff, summed up the GOP prospects for coming campaigns.
