Williamsburg Man Jailed for Drug Materials, Stealing Vehicle

August 29, 2019

A Williamsburg man was jailed after police said he stole a vehicle and drove it to Altoona following a domestic dispute.

According to the charges, State Police, Hollidaysburg, were dispatched to a home along East Second Street on Aug. 15 for a report of a domestic incident.

Police said Michael J. Reilly, 28, had broken a flat-screen TV before forcibly taking a cellphone and the key to a female victim’s vehicle.

Police said Reilly shoved the victim onto the street before getting into her vehicle and speeding down the street.

Police sent out an alert on Reilly and the stolen vehicle.

Later that afternoon, Altoona Police received a call about a man yelling and dancing while banging his head off a vehicle in the area of East Beach Court, Altoona.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered Reilly under the influence of narcotics and the vehicle being the one stolen from the woman in Williamsburg.

A search of Reilly’s person turned up three stamp bags with “Transformers Print” on them.

A search of the vehicle revealed eight empty hypodermic needles, one fully loaded hypodermic needle, two alcohol preps and one strip of suboxone.

Reilly is facing felony charges of robbery of a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking and robbery as well as misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and drug paraphernalia possession.

He also faces summary counts of harassment, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.

Reilly was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Paula Aigner, Hollidaysburg, and placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $30,000 cash bail.
