Thought for the Week

We are excited by the fact the Word of the Lord was being accepted more and more. This was in part because the people were sharing their faith and the things God was doing for them, and in part because God was allowing miracles to be done. But as the Church was growing, so was opposition to the Church. Ephesus was a place where there was much evil and the battle between good and evil was fierce. It was the place where the Temple of the Goddess Diana, or Artemis, was located. The Temple was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world.
