LINDA D. HEVERLY

Linda D. Heverly, 62, of Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, Aug. 24, 2019, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., http://www.bolgerfuneralhome.com, Martinsburg. The Rev. Kim Swindell will officiate.

Linda was born May 2, 1957, in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Donald W. Ayers and Lois A. (Reneker) Ayers-Dick.

She married Richard E. Heverly Feb. 13, 1981, in Altoona.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 38 years; two sons: Justin A. (Kylei) Heverly of Claysburg and Jared R. Heverly at home; a granddaughter, Aslinn Rose Heverly; three brothers: Steven Ayers of Altoona, Jeffrey Ayers of Curryville and Gary W. "Doc" Ayers of Martinsburg; and a sister, Beverly A. Phillips of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry D. "Beak" Ayers.

Linda was a 1975 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg, and was raised in the Mount Pleasant United Church of Christ, rural Martinsburg.

She was primarily a homemaker who also worked as a secretary for Penn Air at the Blair County Airport and for the summer recreation program at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park, Martinsburg.

Linda loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed her pet cats and making all kinds of crafts.

Memorial contributions in memory of Linda can be given to Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
