MARY GLADYS EASTEP

Mary Gladys Eastep, 80, of rural Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 27, 2019, at Homewood at Martinsburg.

A memorial service was held Friday, Aug. 30, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg. Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiated.

Interment was held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

She was born on April 13, 1939, in Catharine Township, rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late Chalmer Ellsworth and Edna Mae (McConahy) McCall.

She married William D. Eastep on Dec. 21, 1956, in rural Roaring Spring.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 62 years; four sons: Kenny D. (Debbie), Daniel W. (Polly Smith), Kevin D. and Brian S. Eastep, all of Williamsburg; five grandsons: Curtis, Andrew, Daniel, Joshua and Jason Eastep; two great-grandsons: Isaac and Owen; four brothers: J. Eddie, Fred D., Robert D., all of rural Williamsburg, Kenneth L. McCall; and a sister, Lois W. Robley both of Martinsburg.

She is preceded in death by three brothers: Chalmer Eugene, H. Elwood and Wayne McCall.

Gladys was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg. She was primarily a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family, playing the piano and canning fruits and vegetables.
