The American author Toni Morrison died in August at the age of 88. She wrote about the legacy of slavery and the brutality of Jim Crow in the South. Her comments about Donald Trump, written just after the 2016 election, have proved to be accurate. He has repeatedly demonstrated that he is a callous and cunning confidence man.
