Central Tennis Team Tops Tyrone, Windber

The Central Lady Dragon tennis team opened the 2019 season with two scheduled non-league matches and one in the Mountain Conference. The Lady Dragons were defeated by Altoona, victorious over Tyrone and had their match with Hollidaysburg stopped due to poor weather conditions.

Central opened its season at Mansion Park in Altoona Aug. 19 against one of the stronger area teams and fell by a 7-0 score. Although each of their top five girls battled gamely, none was able to win more than two of their games.
