FY 2019 CDBG PROGRAM

Notice is hereby given that the Blair County Board of Commissioners intends to apply for a Community Development Block Grant from the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) and has scheduled the required Second Public Hearing to obtain citizen comments on the proposed use of the FY2019 CDBG funds as follows:

An application for FY2019 CDBG funds is being prepared for the County of Blair and the County of Blair on behalf of the Borough of Hollidaysburg, Borough of Tyrone, Township of Antis, Township of Blair, Township of Frankstown and Township of Greenfield. A copy of the FY2019 CDBG program budget will be available for public review and inspection during this public hearing.

The County of Blair encourages all interested citizens to attend the scheduled public hearing(s) to present their views and comments upon the use of the FY2019 CDBG funds or of any prior year use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. Following is a tentative list of proposed projects to be included in the County of Blair’s FFY2019 CDBG Application:

ORDINANCE NOTICE

NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF WILLIAMSBURG WILL CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 346, WHICH REGULATES PARKING, AT ITS REGULAR MEETING TO BE HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING, 305 E. SECOND STREET, WILLIAMSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA, ON October 7, 2019 AT 7:00 P.M. A SUMMARY OF SUCH ORDINANCE IS AS FOLLOWS:

The existing text of SECTION 1 of the Ordinance will be identified as subpart A with the list of streets (a) through (r) maintaining their existing lettering and (g) being amended to prohibit parking on the southern side of the entire length of East Third Street from Spring Street to Locust Street. Additionally, a subpart B will be added to SECTION 1 as follows:

No parking of motor vehicles is permitted on the East side of Black Street between Sage Hill Drive and West Third Street between the hours of 7 o’clock a.m. and 4 o’clock p.m., Monday through Friday. Notwithstanding the foregoing, such section of the East side of Black Street may be used to load and unload children during the aforementioned hours in which parking is prohibited so long as the motor vehicle does not remain stopped for longer than three (3) minutes.

SECOND STREET, WILLIAMSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA, ON October 7, 2019 AT 7:00 P.M. A SUMMARY OF SUCH ORDINANCE IS AS FOLLOWS:

Adds nicotine containing substances, electronic cigarettes or paraphernalia as items prohibited to be possessed by minors.

Defines nicotine containing substances, electronic cigarette and paraphernalia.
