Emily Sherlock led the Northern Bedford girls' cross-country team with a 41st-place finish at the Bear Mountain River Run at Lock Haven University.

The Northern Bedford cross-country teams opened their season Aug. 31 at the Bear Mountain River Run at Lock Haven University.
The boys' team, led by Ian Zimmerman and Ian Sherlock, placed fifth out of 24 teams. Zimmerman finished in third place with a time of 16 minutes, 2 seconds, while Sherlock was fifth in 16:10.
Rounding out the top five NB finishers were Connor Laird, (42nd place, 17:59), Hunter Horton (62nd place, 18:35) and Josh Strayer (69nd place, 18:48).
On the girls' side, Emilee Sherlock placed 41st in 22:45. Denae Hershberger's time of 24:14 placed her 77th. Harley So...
