Ice Skating Possibility

A project that will combine utility and beauty has been started on the old Ashcom farm, now owned by Dr. J.W. Hershberger, Martinsburg physician.

Three large fish dams are being constructed along the highway leading to the airport just outside the borough. In years gone by several dams were located at this site, but had become filled up so that the area was little more than a swamp.

Dr. Hershberger during the past week had a large “bulldozer” in operation at the site, and the ground was scooped out and the banks for the dams built up. The dams will be fed by a spring o...
