Heritage Fair Raises $24,000 for District, Camp Blue Diamond

Juliet Fetter from Altoona makes a scarecrow under the direction of Rodger Grace of the Claysburg Church of the Brethren.

Camp Blue Diamond, Petersburg, had a great turnout for the Middle Pennsylvania District Church of the Brethren's 39th annual Heritage Fair Saturday, Sept. 21.

Attendees had the opportunity to milk a Guernsey cow after properly sanitizing their hands. Children and adults alike enjoyed this experience. The Guernsey cow was from Bernetta Gable from Snider Homestead Farms in New Enterprise. Attendees also could vote for seven different district personalities by placing a donation in a jar. When the donations were totaled, person who had the most money in the jar would then kiss the cow. Distric...
