James E. Selwitz, 77, of Altoona, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 21, 2019, at UPMC Altoona.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Altoona.
James was born on July 26, 1942, in Altoona, son of the late Henry E. “Hank” and Charlotte L. (Cooper) Selwitz.
He married Mona Lee Ellis on Aug. 19, 1967, in Altoona.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years; two sisters: Marsha L. (Steve) Metzger of Roaring Spring and Susan S. (Eddie) Ickes of Osterburg; a sister-in-law, Cathy D. (Doug)...
