The Central High School tennis team celebrated "Senior Day" Sept. 17, prior to the match against Clearfield. Recognized were (from left): assistant coach Heidi Stern, Aleah Trueman, Allison Brooks, Reagan Bush, head coach John Riley, Lindsey Kensinger, Kaylee McClain, Kierra Mountain and assistant coach Brian Berkhimer. The Lady Dragons swept Clearfield, 7-0.
After losing a tight match to Windber Sept. 16, the Lady Dragon Tennis team responded with a pair of 7-0 shutouts last week. Central's record improved to 7-3 overall.
Central and Windber followed the 3-2 format and Windber swept all three singles matches. The Lady Dragons were victorious in the doubles matches but fell 3-2.
Kierra Mountain, Lindsey Kensinger and Aleah Trueman participated in the singles matches. Tomi May and Allison Brooks won in doubles 6-0, 6-0 as did the team of Reagan Bush and Miranda Madden.
