RICKY LEE BEACH

Rick L. Beach, 62, of Roaring Spring, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, Sept. 23, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral was held Friday, Sept. 27, at the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., http://www.thompsonfh.com, Roaring Spring. Dr. David Crumrine officiated.

A private interment service was held in Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Ricky was born on May 15, 1957, in Roaring Spring.

He married the love of his life, Terri L. Eckard, on April 7, 1979, sharing 40 years of love and devotion to one another.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four loving sons: Brandon L. (Michele) Beach of Roaring Spring, Jarrod M. (Jamie) Beach of East Freedom, Cody F. (Jenny) Beach of Altoona and Kyle T. Beach of Roaring Spring. He is also survived by his five precious grandchildren, the light of his life: Braydon Lee, Brock Michael, Brynlee Ann, Mattie Louise and Rozella Denise Beach; and his wonderful brother-in-law, Ty (Dana) Eckard of Ellenboro, N.C.

His family was the most important thing and his greatest accomplishment, he always said, and he lived for times with them all.

Ricky was a 1975 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg, and retired from Appvion in 2013 as an electrician, after 32 years of service.

He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving from 1976 until 1980.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and riding his Harley in his spare time.

He was a loving, supportive husband and a source of constant strength as a father and grandfather. His infectious laugh and outgoing personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
