NB Cross-Country Runs at Carlisle

The Northern Bedford cross-country teams ran Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Carlisle Invitational. Ian Sherlock (left) finished second in the boys' champion race with a time of 16 minutes, 26.0 seconds. Ian Zimmerman (right) placed fifth with a time of 16:36.0.

In the girls' champion race, Emilee Sherlock led NB with a 198th-place finish in 24:60.70.

"We learned a lot from this meet in preparation for our big meets at the end off the season," NB coach Wayne Sherlock said. "The boys team learned what it is like starting a race with over 370 runners. Some of the boys responded well, while the other boys and girls have a better idea what to expect. We are at the point of the season where we need to start focusing on our goals and to start driving our times down."
