I’m still in an apple mood. This week was our “A is for Apple” theme at daycare and the kids got to taste test different apples to see which one was their favorite.

Surprisingly, the green “spicy” ones were voted the best – which, of course were the Granny Smith apples.

Here are two recipes that feature those “spicy” apples!

Apple Mustard Chicken Tenders

Ingredients:

1-1/2 lbs. chicken tenderloins

2 small Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

3 Tbsp. butter

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup stone-ground mustard
