CHS Honors the Late Tim Mapes

Central High School recently honored Tim Mapes, who passed away suddenly this past February.

Mapes was a faithful Dragon fan who attended many athletic events with his wife, Winnie. He was also a runner himself and participated in many 5Ks during his lifetime. Memorial contributions in his memory were donated to the Central High School Athletic Department and were used to purchase a portable sound system. The sound system which was used for cross-country's Senior Day will be used at various athletic events and activities within the school district. His wife and two of his four children were able to attend the ceremony.
