Ask the Williamsburgers

October 17, 2019

I am all about reminiscing and now being a fixture in the high school as the assistant volleyball coach, I often go back to my high school days. For most, graduation is one of the biggest events of high school and one of the special aspects of graduation is the class song.

I decided to ask the residents of Williamsburg – What was your class song? Here is what a few had to say:

Melody Brumbaugh: Graduation Song by Vitamin C

Nancy Strayer: Class of 1967 – “The Impossible Dream”

Tiffany McGuire: “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” Class of 1999

Bethany Stokes: Class of 2009 – “Dreams” by Van Halen

John Fay: Class of 1958 – “Now is the Hour”

Jean Anderson: Class of 1959 – “The End”

Jim Snyder, Jr.: Class of 1969 – “The Summer of 69”

Chris Kensinger: Central Class of 1985 – “Purple Rain”

Ruth Hoffner: Class of 1972, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”

Tina Houck: Class of 1978, “Theme from Mahogany”

Veronica Barroner: Class of 2001 “Touch of Grey” – The Grateful Dead

Larry Burger: Class of 1973, “We’ve Only Just Begun” – The Carpenters

For me, the proud class of 2006’s song was “Photograph” by Nickelback.
