OPINION

October 17, 2019

BRUCE ERB FOR

BLAIR COUNTY

COMMISSIONER

To the Editor:

On Election Day, Blair County residents will elect county commissioners and voters will have the opportunity to vote for two candidates. I am asking you to join me in voting for Bruce Erb as one of your selections and elect him for another term.

Bruce Erb graduated from the CCAP Academy for Excellence in County Government, has knowledge and understanding of the function and scope of the duties of county commissioners in Pennsylvania, and has four successful years of experience in this role.

With 40 years of experience in financial management, he worked diligently to improve Blair County’s financial situation. He lessened the pension deficit, improved investment strategies, and has been a steward of the taxpayers’ money. He was not involved in the planning of the property reassessment. He will continue to work for the citizens of Blair County.

BRUCE ERB FOR

BLAIR COUNTY

COMMISSIONER

To the Editor:

I'm writing to express my support for Bruce Erb in the upcoming commissioners' election. I have known Bruce as a co-worker and a friend for over 30 years and have always found him to be man of integrity, a visionary, and a problem solver.

Additionally, and most importantly to me, Bruce is a listener and a person who looks to be a person who unites. In a world where people scream to get their points across and in a world that is incredibly divided, Bruce is a breath of fresh air. He has an ability to walk hand in hand with you even if he doesn't see eye to eye.

He has been a great help to our community without looking for credit, headlines, or endorsements – that's the person he is and that's the person we need to continue to lead our county.

As you consider your voting choices for the upcoming election, let me encourage you to vote for an experienced proven leader, a problem solver, and a person who truly cares about everyone in our county. Vote for Bruce Erb.

LAURA BURKE FOR

BLAIR COUNTY

COMMISSIONER

To the Editor:

What a breath of fresh air that a new breed of younger, energetic candidates is stepping up across the state and nation!

Laura Burke is a prime example. She is actively involved in our community (WISE Women Board, Blair Regional YMCA, Family Services Inc.) while raising four children. She has had a distinguished career, first as a law clerk, then as an attorney and advocate for victims of domestic abuse. She has the skills needed to tackle all that is currently confronting our county.

The “Issues” tab on her website (www.electlauraburke.com) illustrates how Laura Burke has been examining local issues by attending meetings, listening to concerns at many venues, and basically doing the “homework” I expect of a committed candidate. She is prepared to do the job. In person, I am impressed by her authenticity and clear-headedness. With her fresh perspective, Laura Burke will have my vote on Nov. 5!

BRUCE ERB FOR

BLAIR COUNTY

COMMISSIONER

To the Editor:

I would like to state my public support for the re-election campaign of Bruce Erb as county commissioner. I have known Bruce since my days of working in the banking industry at the Hollidaysburg Trust Co. in the early 1990s.

Bruce is an honest, kind hearted and sincere individual – something that we do not see much in politics nowadays. I do not believe he has said a mistruth during his campaign and I trust in his knowledge and wisdom to run a county government.

Bruce has my support in the upcoming November election and I hope he has yours, too.

BRUCE ERB FOR

BLAIR COUNTY

COMMISSIONER

To the Editor:

Bruce Erb has earned my support, and that of many of my neighbors here in Williamsburg. He cares about our small communities and is quick and responsive when we have a need.

Bruce not only has a strong financial background. He has a clear and precise vision for the future good of Blair County.

I am voting to reelect a great public servant because he has demonstrated in the past that we can count on him, that out voice will be heard in the future.

I urge everyone to look at his credentials and join me.
