First Snow of Season Falls

The first snow of the season in Morrisons Cove arrived on Sunday, Oct. 14. Several correspondents reported the storm was severe.

W.B. Nicodemus resigned his position as clerk in D.D. Morrell’s store in Henrietta to take up school teaching.

Most of the typhoid fever patients around New Enterprise were improving, although there were a few not yet out of danger.

The German Baptist Seventh Day Brethren of Salemville held communion Saturday night.

Oct. 19 was designated as Arbor Day.
