Crash Snarls Traffic

An accident in McKee Gap early Monday knocked off a utility pole, interrupted electrical service to businesses and homes and forcing heavy traffic to be re-routed through Narrow Plum Creek roads. The mishap happed at 5:26 a.m. Power was restored at 4:06 p.m. The accident happened when the driver, Kenneth R. Butler, 42, of Martinsburg RD 1, attempted to avoid a deer on th road. He lost control of his semi truck, ran off the road and struck a utility pole.
