BCGS to Meet Nov. 21 at Library

The Blair County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 21, at the Roller-Hojeth Memorial Library, 431 Scotch Valley Road, Hollidaysburg, PA.

The speaker this November will be Dr. Julie L Decker, assistant teaching professor of nursing at Penn State Altoona. Decker will present “The Battling' Belles of Bataan and Corregidor.”

When the Japanese invaded the Philippine Islands in December 1941, more than 100 Army and Navy Nurses were stationed at military bases throughout the nation.
