Extension Offers Two Webinars on Ag Topics

Dairy producers and food entrepreneurs are invited to join Penn State Extension for the “What You Need to Know About Starting a Value-Added Dairy Business” webinar, from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 20.

“Our goal in offering this webinar is to assist dairy producers who are thinking of starting a value-added dairy business by providing a framework for exploring considerations surrounding this type of undertaking,” said Ginger Fenton, Penn State Extension Dairy Team educator.

This webinar will introduce the basics of value-added dairy enterprises, including products, production systems, equipment needs, food safety and regulatory considerations, market assessment, and product marketing.

Dairy producers, employees and agribusiness professionals are invited to join Penn State Extension for the Dairy Grazing Management webinar at 1 p.m. Nov. 13.

This webinar will focus on the basics of understanding pasture forage quality and will be led by Mat Haan, Extension Dairy Team educator.
