Williamsburg Eagle Scout, future Marine, Completes Veteran Remembrance Wall

Zachariah Richardson of Williamsburg has recently received his Eagle Scout badge. A senior at Williamsburg High School, Richardson participates in football and FFA, and plans to enlist in the U.S. Marines following graduation. Richardson is standing next to his project, a remembrance wall in honor of the veterans of our town. Borough Council President Don Zimmerman said of Richardson, "What a great kid and a great story. His passion for the military and for one of the foundations of Scouts – community service – can be seen through this project. We are all thankful for his project and congratulate him on obtaining Eagle Scout."

Williamsburg is boasting a new Eagle Scout – the first one in more than 10 years and the first one since the restart of Williamsburg Troop 53.

Zachariah Richardson, the son of Lucinda and Troy Richardson of Williamsburg, recently completed the process of becoming an Eagle Scout. The process took a little over a year to complete and started with an idea. A service project is something for which the Scout is passionate about and the idea needs to be approved by the beneficiary, which in this case was the Williamsburg Borough Council.
