Northern Bedford school directors took time out from a recent meeting to recognize the spontaneous selfless action of a high school student. Ericka Marvin, a passenger on bus 30 of Barton Transportation Service, stepped up when the bus was involved in an accident at the close of school on Oct. 15. The 60 passenger bus, carrying approximately 40 students, pulled onto route 36 in front of the school, turning north into the path of a vehicle traveling south.
