Welfare Council to Meet Nov. 22

The Blair County Health and Welfare Council will meet from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at The Arc of Blair County.

The speaker will be Kathi Ardizzone from the Altoona Housing Authority. Ardizzone will speak about the Housing Choice voucher program and its qualifications. The Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment Program provides rental assistance in the form of a voucher to low and very-low income families, singles, senior citizens, disabled and handicapped individuals.
