DELORES J. HAMILTON

Delores J. Hamilton, 97, of Graystone Court, Roaring Spring, passed away Sunday afternoon, Nov. 10, 2019, at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, following a brief illness.

A funeral mass was held Friday, Nov. 15, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry.

Interment was made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.

Delores was born March 3, 1922, in East Freedom, the daughter of the late Warren P. and Minnie A. (Crawford) Dodson.

She married Joseph L. Hamilton Dec. 31, 1942, in Newry. He preceded her in death Oct. 22, 1979.

Delores is survived by a son, Dennis G. Hamilton (Winnie) of Roaring Spring; four grandchildren: Jeanette M. Clouse (Marty), Scott A. Rhodes (Donna), Steven L. Hamilton (Mindy) and Corey L. Hamilton (Lori); seven great-Grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Pauline L. Cooper and Helen T. Ruggles, both of Roaring Spring; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, step-grandsons and caregiver and special friend, Suzie Dellinger.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne M. Rhodes; two brothers: Thomas M. and Roger S. Dodson; and three sisters: Mary E. Rooney, Shirley J. Whitesel and Margaret C. Claar.

Delores was a lifelong member at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry, and St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Roaring Spring.

Delores enjoyed her volunteer work at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and the Catholic Daughters of America.

She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
