Things Left Unsaid By Courtney Walsh

Lyndie St. James is an up-and-coming song writer. The famous Jalaire Grant loves her fresh new sound, but the lyrics need work. The words are empty. Could she write one with feeling? Lyndie shut her emotions down 10 years ago. It was that awful day when her best friend Cassie Jacobs drowned in the lake at her summer home of Sweethaven. Now those feelings are threatening to surface. Why did she agree to be the maid of honor in Elle Porter's wedding in Sweethaven? On top of that, Cassie's mother planned a "Celebration of Life" in honor of Cassie on the anniversary of her death that same week.

Lyndie, Elle and Cassie spent wonderful summers growing up at Sweethaven. They were the best of friends. Lyndie often felt she was to blame for Cassie's death. They had a fight that day and Cassie ran off. How could she face Davis and Karen Jacobs and Travis, their son? She did not want to open those wounds.

Elle is marrying Travis Preston. She wishes she could get married in Chicago instead, but future mother-in-law Nora Preston made all the arrangements. Travis' father, Pastor Preston, pastors a large church. Nora is very particular that everything be done correctly. She has planned a full week of activities leading up to the wedding. The only thing Elle had any say in was the dress. Sweethaven stirs up dread in Elle as well. She was the last to see Cassie alive. She and Lyndie had grown apart since that day, but Lyndie was her only choice for Maid of Honor.

Davis and Karen Jacobs were still traumatized by Cassie's death. Even though Karen is a therapist, she is having trouble connecting to Davis. She knows what she would say to a patient. Why is it so hard to do in her marriage?

Tucker Jacobs is a daredevil. He has started his own business called Adventure Seekers in San Diego. He has developed a large clientele through word of mouth. He has turned his passion into a business, much to his mother's dismay.

All these people descend on Sweethaven with a certain amount of dread. Can they find healing in Sweethaven? Many secrets of that night have been concealed for 10 years. Will they be revealed? Can they come to terms with the past and each other?
